Pieter Burger, Nymphs Cove
First, I would like to state that I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination. There is not an artistic bone in my entire body. Therefore when writing music reviews for artists works, my comments come purely from enjoyment of the art itself and the feelings the music stirs. Definitely NOT from any technical knowledge I have of the art. Short, sweet, and to the point, and always positive (for the most part – laugh).
I would like to present:
Pieter Burger with the single Nymphs Cove.
Pieter had produced a excellent piece of art with this composition. This single personifies all that is good with this music genre.
Thoughtful and sorrowful are the two distinct perceptions I had as I played through the piece.
The music reminded me of times spent on the coasts of Maine, or Nova Scotia. I personally had a feel that I was surrounded by that quiet splendor and the calm of the sea on a cold autumn morning. The music lent itself to listening to the beat of your heart and each breath of life.
Yet it reminded that we all must move on, we must walk away from those quiet shores and pursue other endeavors.
Very methodical in the composition and well blended with all instruments, the piece can stand its ground against any composition of this genre.
Thanks Pieter for the opportunity to showcase this piece.
